This policy explains what information MagicBite collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices you have in relation to the website, mobile app, and related services.

1. Who we are

MagicBite is operated by Pizza Digital Limited, Company Registration No: 11562301, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 4843a, W1T 2EW, London, United Kingdom. References to “MagicBite”, “we”, “our”, and “us” in this policy refer to Pizza Digital Limited as the service provider for the website and app.

2. The information we collect

Depending on how you use MagicBite, we may collect and store:

  • account and authentication data, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and session information
  • profile and onboarding information, such as your goals, current and target weight, fasting preferences, hydration targets, activity preferences, and other settings you choose to provide
  • meal, nutrition, and favorites data, such as meal entries, food search queries, nutrient outputs, notes, and saved favorites
  • meal images or gallery uploads used for meal scan and description features
  • progress data, such as weight logs, water logs, fasting status, streaks, and related history
  • coach messages and message history created when you use MagicBite AI
  • technical and diagnostics data, such as device type, operating system, app version, timestamps, crash information, and service logs
  • local device data, such as onboarding drafts and session information stored through local device storage or browser storage to keep the app working

3. How we use information

We use information we collect to:

  • create and secure your account and keep you signed in
  • provide meal logging, scan, search, favorites, hydration, fasting, progress, and coaching features
  • generate nutrition summaries, nutrient outputs, benefit scores, and other in-app insights
  • personalize the app experience using the settings and content you choose to provide
  • monitor reliability, investigate bugs, respond to support issues, and protect the service against misuse
  • comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms

4. Meal images and AI scan processing

When you use meal scan, your image is uploaded to our storage so MagicBite can process it. We may provide that stored image, or a URL to that image, to an AI processing provider so the service can describe the meal, identify likely foods, and estimate nutrition. We also store the resulting description and related scan metadata as part of your meal history where relevant.

5. MagicBite AI coach processing

When you message MagicBite AI, we may process your message together with relevant app context, including recent meals, nutrition summaries, hydration data, fasting status, weight-related data, settings, and prior coach history, to generate a reply. We store coach messages so the conversation can continue inside the app. MagicBite AI is not a medical service and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.

6. Health-related information

Some information you choose to provide to MagicBite, such as meal history, nutrient patterns, weight, hydration, fasting information, health conditions, and related coaching content, may be considered health-related or special-category personal data under some laws. Where required by applicable law, we rely on your explicit consent to process that information for the features you choose to use.

7. Legal bases for processing

Depending on the context, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and securing MagicBite, because we must comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent where required. For health-related information you choose to provide, we rely on your consent where required by applicable law.

8. Sharing and service providers

We may share information with service providers that help us operate MagicBite, including:

  • authentication, database, and storage providers, such as Supabase
  • AI processing providers, such as OpenAI, for meal image description and coach responses
  • crash reporting and diagnostics providers, such as Sentry
  • payment or platform providers, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, where purchases or subscriptions are offered

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights and systems, or in connection with a business transfer. Some providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Account records are generally retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. Meal history, coach history, weight, hydration, and fasting data may remain in your account until deleted by you or removed through account deletion workflows and follow-up cleanup. Local drafts and locally stored session information may remain on your device until cleared, signed out, or removed through app or browser storage controls.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no storage system, transmission method, or online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection in relation to your personal data, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. You may also be able to manage certain data directly inside the app by editing settings, deleting logs, or signing out and clearing local storage. You may have the right to complain to a data protection regulator in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may post the updated version on the website, update the in-app notice, or use another appropriate method to notify you.
